Residency

Conceptual Framework of the Residency Program

In pursuing specific themes and approaches in the arts and urban research, ZK/U inspires critical discussion with and among our diverse fellows, partners, and publics. Our discourse and practices are our connecting force and, like we ourselves, are open-ended, changing over time to reflect new input and insights. However, the following third approach remains paramount to the basis of our work.

Network

True to its declared goal of supporting and networking artists, practitioners, curators, writers, and scholars who work on topics related to city life in all its many facets, the ZK/U has so far hosted over 300 fellows from over 45 different countries through its residency program.

Discourses

We direct our work along specific research themes that are meant to inspire open discussions.
Like ourselves, our discourses change over time.
