Milly’s work at the ZK/U responds to the theme of ‘Relational Urbanism’. This project builds on her practice of participatory urban design and collective organising in the UK, and on archival and spatial research in Berlin.
Drawing on Arturo Escobar’s Designs for the Pluriverse, she is experimenting with forms of collective recording and relational mapping as tools to enact more equitable neighbourhood transitions. Within this work, emphasis is placed on collaboration as a form of creative practice. Weaving is used as a metaphor for building solidarities across unusual allies, connecting the social and the infrastructural.
