The Va-Bene Scholarship and Mentorship Residency Abroad is a fully-funded award established in 2024 by the renowned trans artivist, mentor, curator and philanthropist, Va-Bene Elikem Fiatsi, also known as crazinistT artisT. The scholarship is granted to nominated emerging Ghanaian artists, activists, and curators who have participated in the perfocraZe international Artist Residency in Kumasi, Ghana.
The scholarship facilitates cultural exchange between these artists and the art and cultural scenes of Europe, the Americas, and other African countries. It offers an immersive experience and opportunities to explore artistic networks and spaces, without any obligation to produce work.
