Sibongile Oageng Msimango

Curatorial research by Sibongile Oageng Msimango on successful project spaces, art initiatives and pop-ups in Berlin between 2011 and 2021 that re-purposed, re-imagined or (re)created their physical (or virtual) spaces within the cultural and creative industry. Social media posts were used to spatially, temporally and contextually document the spaces. She explored the relationship between creativity and urban development where cultural production is part and parcel of the evolution of infrastructure and city planning; and to measure the economic and social impact that could arise from this relationship.
