During his residency period, Luuk seeks to extend his practice that centers on materials and the implications of their use, as evidenced in our surroundings. In particular, he will focus on the present extension of ZK/U, and, as a starting point, plans to trace the materials back to their sites of origin. He sees this pursuit as a form of rooting, recuperating the place, time, and labor embedded within each material. His research will evolve in tandem with the materials and will take the form of written notes, sound recordings, photography, and culminating in intervention or action.
