Community Curator with KUNSTrePUBLIK for documenta fifteen - Jan van Esch

Jan Van Esch is an artist and curator. In his individual and collective work, he questions the principle of reciprocity between people and, in a practical sense, looks for connection in the implementation of community-based projects to avert alienation in the work process.
Jan has been a resident at ZK/U before and was the curator for Speisekino season 2017 and 2019 and in summer of 2021 he co-curated the FussaBallaBalla 2020 intervention in Kassel as part of documenta fifteen.
During this residency Jan will join the ZK/U – KUNSTrePUBLIK collective as the curator for the community based part of their contribution to the upcoming documenta fifteen.
