This research project investigates how through art, we can deepen our knowledge of pedagogy and how, through pedagogy, we can think about making art? This involves looking at how ideas of experimental education intersect with the built environment such as parks, gardens, playgrounds, architecture and landscape architecture. Research will include walks in the city and investigating archives and museums which will act as a source of information for various artworks and a series of photographs that explore the materiality of digital photography. Information acquired through this research will also be applied in the classroom.
This residency is supported by the Canada Council for the Arts.
