Berlin playgrounds - Daniela Kostova

During my residency at ZK/U I will research the history and design of playgrounds and outdoor public space in Berlin, and the concept of play as an integral element of it. By comparing various cultural models, I will explore ways to convert a negative space into a positive experience and methods of creating open-ended, evolving structures that encourage risk taking. Furthermore, I will continue experimenting with photographic images, their sculptural manifestations and new narrative forms.
