Unter dem Motto „Bewegung. Macht. Stadt“ findet vom 5. bis 14 Oktober erstmals in Berlin das internationale Festival für urbane Erkundungen urbanize! statt. Gemeinsam mit dérive - Zeitschrift für Stadtforschung (Wien) laden 30 stadtentwicklungspolitische Akteur*innen alle Berliner*innen und Gäste ein, die sich für „das Recht auf Stadt“ interessieren. In zahlreichen Workshops, Führungen, Podien, Exkursionen und Vorträgen kommen Menschen aus allen Teilen der Stadtgesellschaft zusammen, um Wege für die plurale und kollaborative, solidarische und gemeinwohlorientierte Stadt(re)produktion zu erkunden.

Stadt ist divers. Und Bewegung ist aufregend. Denn Macht fragt nach Gegenmacht. Was in Berlin seit Jahren und aktuell wieder besonders spürbar ist, davon werden die Veranstaltenden von urbanize! in Berlin im Laufe des Abends vielstimmig erzählen und dabei einen feierlichen Einblick in die ereignisreichen zehn Festivaltage geben.
Mit allen veranstaltenden Kollektiven, Initiativen, Akteur*innen des urbanize! Berlin Festivals.
Musikalische Beiträge von: Produktionskollektiv Kollegen 2,3 (Erfinder des Netzwerks "Selbstgebaute Musik"), N.U. Unruh (Einstürzenden Neubauten) und den Soundspezialisten von TuneUp Berlin.
Für Essen und Getränke ist gesorgt.

urbanize! International Festival for Urban Explorations
5th to 14th October 2018 | Berlin | MOVEMENT. MAKES. CITY.
The urbanize! International Festival for Urban Explorations in Berlin for 10 days (5th to 14th October) opens up a networking, theory and practice platform for people who are interested in and committed to the "right to the city". How can the city be shaped together in an emancipatory and democratic way? About thirty urban actors from Berlin together with dérive – Magazine for Urban Research (Vienna) invite you to lectures, discussions, workshops, guided tours and urban explorations. Together with Berliners and international guests, they want to explore existing paths and break new grounds: for a pluralistic and collaborative, solidarity-based and common good-oriented urban development and (re)production of space.
We cordially invite you to the kick-off event at ZK/U.
MOVEMENT. MAKES. CITY. | Start at 6:00 p.m.
City is diverse. And movement is exciting. Because power asks for countervailing power. What has been particularly noticeable in Berlin for years now and again, the organizers of urbanize! in Berlin will talk aboutduring the evening. They'll give an insight into the eventful ten festival days.
