Reading Ghosts is a reading group at ZK/U accompanying the project Ari in Transit at ZK/U. Ari, the peace statue, sits at the table as a participant. In five sessions, we read across history, migration, critical theory, and diasporic literature to ask: Who are the ghosts of German cultural memory?

Session 5 closes with Theresa Hak Kyung Cha's Dictée and Kim Hyesoon's Autobiography of Death — two voices that insist on speaking from within the condition the previous sessions have described.
