Reading Ghosts is a reading group at ZK/U accompanying the project Ari in Transit at ZK/U. Ari, the peace statue, sits at the table as a participant. In five sessions, we read across history, migration, critical theory, and diasporic literature to ask: Who are the ghosts of German cultural memory?

Session 2 turns to migration and the body — how refugees and contract workers were produced as political categories, and what it means when the body is read before it can speak.
