TANZA Lab. ist ein interdisziplinäres Künstler:innen- und Architekt:innen-Kollektiv aus Chile und Argentinien, vertreten durch KSTN Projektraum für das ZK/U Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik.
Die Praxis des Kollektivs liegt irgendwo zwischen Umweltdesign und Installationskunst und untersucht die Fähigkeit des Raums, das Verhalten der Menschen zu verändern. Das aktuelle Projekt konzentriert sich auf die Raumforschung mit physischen und "immateriellen" Materialien; das Kollektiv schlägt die Realisierung surrealer Landschaften vor, die versuchen, die Erfahrung der Schwerkraft mit Hilfe von Elementen wie Licht, Zeit und Leere aufzulösen.
"GEPACKT PAVILLON is a material and phenomenological exploration about the sensorial possibilities of the enigma. An architectonic-size formal inquiry, about the emotionality and visual dynamics that are the very essence of the uneasiness of the packed shape, echoing the concept of the uncanny (unheimlich) as what appears unexpectedly in everydayness."
