Defenders is a documentary exploration of criminal justice through the perspectives of defense attorneys in the United States and Canada. We will be screening clips of this project and addressing criminal justice issues with a live Q&A with filmmaker and photographer Dan Epstein. Issues discussed will include: mass incarceration, due process, mandatory minimum sentencing, bail, remand, plea bargaining, civil rights, among others.
