Vincent Marquis

Vincent Marquis is an art historian and writer based in Montreal. He is currently the Development Coordinator at the new media arts center Eastern Bloc, Project Coordinator at Evidence for Democracy, and Officer for South Sudan at the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies. Vincent received an M.A. in Art History from the Courtauld Institute of Art, and a B.A. in Art History and Philosophy from McGill University. His main field of research is contemporary visual and political culture, and in particular: the intersection of art, architecture and urban planning; moral theory and applied ethics; the theory and practice of activism; the notion of spatial critique; and the sociopolitical functions and responsibilities of museums today.
