I am a Montreal based researcher and urban curator with a background in theatre and interdisciplinary practices. In my curatorial practice I work with artists to create site responsive performances, installations, and collaborative community projects. My current research focuses on the cultural politics of postindustrial urban spaces. I am working with posthumanist, feminist and queer theory to rethink sites, discourses, and themes such as postindustrial culture, spatial agency, the public sphere, and the right to the city, and using material (art) and performance-making practices to share these critical reflections with communities and larger publics. In 2010, I founded Urban Occupations Urbaines (www.urbanoccupationsurbaines.org), a curatorial platform for artists, communities and the public to creatively and critically engage with cities, unresolved architectural and urban spatial conditions. Since 2014, I serve as co-director of Points de vue (www.pointsdevuemtl.wordpress.org), a Montreal collective comprised of researchers, spatial art practitioners and urban activists.
