Pablo Santacana López

(Spain)

Pablo Santacana López (Madrid, 1991) is an art researcher and architectural designer based between Madrid and Berlin. He holds a Master of Architecture from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (ES) and Faculdade de Arquitectura de São Paulo (BRA), a Master of Arts from the Institute for Art in Context of Universität der Künste Berlin (DE), and is a current PhD fellow at the research program “Identity and Heritage” at the Bauhaus Universität in Weimar (DE). His transdisciplinary work reveals the role of collective imagination in the construction of our social environments, researching on the dispositives and protocols that shape our understanding of the territory.  He is co-founder of spanish art collective Vendedores de Humo and is member of Berlin-based platform decolonizem21 and the collective Co-Re at Haus der Statistik.

He has contributed to magazines such as Contemporary&, Arch+, Texte Zur Kunst or Arts of the Working Class and has work for institutions such as Gripus Bau, ngbk, or Acud Macht Neu in Berlin. His work has been exhibited at the Sao Paulo Architecture Biennale, the Istanbul Design Biennial, Matadero (Madrid), Campo Adentro (Uruguay), or Savvy Contemporary (Berlin).
