Natasha Papadopoulou lives and works in Amsterdam. Her artistic practice includes time-based media, performance, installation and participatory intervention. She creates subversions of popular culture and decriminalises self-care practices by making works that are beneficial for the bodies of their viewers. Interactive installations that are inviting another type of perception, the art of sensing contemporary-art through the body itself.
In her ongoing “The Anastasia Method” Natasha is adopting the identity of a wellness-guru, teaching movement regimes using an alternative vocabulary to address human physiology. Intertwining several holistic and somatic philosophies with language games and pop references. So that movement becomes a script of social critique fragments, and the body a map of energies, values and experiences awaiting to be felt.
