Martin Krafft

Martin Krafft is a filmmaker and social practice artist based in Schwenksville, PA, USA. His art seeks to weave new possibilities of creative interactions between strangers, permeating boundaries of “otherness.” In addition to working as a stone mason and community organizer, he runs an artist residency, Red Rock Rabbit Ranch, that supports housing insecure artists. He has done artist residencies at the Flower City Arts Center, the Visual Studies Workshop, Anderson Ranch, and is currently a resident at ZK/U.

He received his Master’s of Fine Arts in Photography, Video, and Imaging at the University of Arizona. He has received the Society for Photographic Education’s Innovation in Imaging award, the Marcia Centennial Sculptural Award, and Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs as well as Tucson and Southern Arizona Artist grants.
