Maria is a Venezuelan artist/educator, she explores media and new technologies within the medium of photography and video, performance and installation.
In addition to her own art practice, Maria is an educator in the field of the image creation, understanding and showcasing; Leading critic sessions with other artists stimulates her research and talks about the relation among art/philosophy & critical thinking. Her work is part of private collections in Madrid, NY, Bogotá, Florence and Caracas.
Currently she lives and works in Caracas Venezuela and together with Diana Rangel is Co-Founder of nodoCCS, an experimental platform for the arts, based in Caracas Venezuela, it hosts artists from different disciplines, including photography, painting, sculpture, installation, and new media specially supporting projects that promote dialogue and collaboration between artists and their works.
