Mari Mattsson is an artist based in Stockholm, whose work centers around imagination and perception through bodily senses and social agreements on reality. In an exploration of movements (i.e. spatiality, time and repetition) and the hierarchy of the senses, the work usually presents as installations with sound, metal, storytelling, found materials and most recently glass and light. Since 2020, Mari is the co-editior of the collective artist’s book project RE (@zine.re) together with artist Laurens Rohlfs (@l_aurens). The project invites artists to develop or rework a project for printed matter through a thematic backdrop and in dialogue with each other.
