Ki Hyun Park is a female artist from South Korea working and living in Berlin. Self-experimental performance and video work are the core of her creative activities. She puts her social stereotype of being a woman and migrant at the forefront of her work. Ki Hyun Park twists the ideal symbolism that social identity generally implies through her own visual language of a quirky and kitsch reenactment. In addition to her personal creative activities, she is responsible for managing a community market called Guetermarkt. It works as an alternative cultural, art, business platform in Berlin's Moabit, where she currently resides.
Ki Hyun Park is an emerging artist active within the frame of the Magic Carpets programme at ZK/U Berlin in 2020.
