Ji Yun Kim

(South Korea)

Ji Yun Kim is an independent curator and critic from South Korea who engages with the affective residues and gendered silences produced by colonialism, national division, and the compressed trajectory of Korea's modernisation. For Ji Yun, curating functions as both a conduit through which unspoken micro-narratives are reconfigured across affect, memory, and multispecies temporalities, and as a site of resistance.

Her curatorial approach treats care, migration, and ecological memory as critical practices that disrupt institutional temporalities and representational conventions, re-mediating experiences that have remained unsaid or untranslatable. Traversing between speculative worldbuilding and situated fieldwork, she explores curating as an affective methodology, unfolding it as a site where decolonial narratives and embodied experiences intersect.
