Gal Amiram is an artist and photographer based in Los Angeles. Amiram's work examines how vision and visuality erase and make invisible the legacies of settler-colonialism, especially in Israel and Palestine.
Amiram holds an MFA from ArtCenter College of Design (2017) and a BFA from Shenkar College (2013). She showed her work at venues such as the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, The Israeli Center for Digital Art, and the American Jewish University. She won numerous excellence awards, including the Israeli Ministry of Culture Emerging Artist award (2019), Artis residency grant (2018, 2021), and was nominated for the Rema Hort Mann Emerging Artist Grant (2019). Amiram received multiple fellowships as an artist-in-resident at venues such as The Vermont Studio Center (2018) and MOCA Tucson (2019).
