Elham Khattab

Elham Khattab is a curator and art manager based in Cairo. Over the last nine years, her curatorial work is dedicated to new media art, in particular, noticing it as a fast-growing medium in Egypt. From 2013 to the present, she organized and curated New media and digital art festivals, exhibitions, and research projects. Her curatorial work was able to grow beyond Egypt to North Africa when she worked on the DIGI MENA mapping research that she started a few years ago.

Since she started her career, she participated in several international programs like the British Council’s cultural leadership international program, where she completed curating and art criticism short courses from the University of Arts in London in 2012. As part of the CrossCulture Programme (CCP) of the Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen (IFA), she completed a curating internship in the art mediation department at Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst in Leipzig, Germany in October/November 2012. She also completed a research residency with Prohelvetia, focusing on digital arts in Geneva, Zurich, and Basel in the year 2015. From 2018 to 2021, She is an arts manager summer fellow at Devos Institute of arts management at the Maryland University, Washington D.C, USA.
