Alex Head was born in London, 1983, and is an artist and radio producer interested in creating non-hierarchical networks of artists, researchers and citizens.
His practice facilitates meetings between artists and non-artists within the communities and micro-communities that populate the artist's working environment. His work often involves people, discussion and the translation of bodies of research into public events.
Head often uses the radio essay format to document and re-contextualise his research. In this way public encounter and private reflection play a role in re-presenting the events that have become characteristic of his process.
