E’ un varco – a moving practice between lands and communities - Chiara Pavolucci

Chiara Pavolucci

At ZK/U, Chiara continues her ongoing research on the idea of the margin in relation to places, territories, and communities. She approaches it as a space of transition, resistance, and possibility - a space where hierarchies can be questioned and unlearned.

Her practice brings together photography, walking as an embodied research method, and collective writing. Through these tools, she develops new narratives grounded in care and shaped through dialogue with both human and more-than-human entities. She understands the landscape as porous, alive, and constantly in transformation.
The project follows a nomadic approach. It moves across different territories, treating the margin as something that takes form through encounters and collaboration.

During her time at ZK/U, she plans to design a lightweight mobile device to temporarily inhabit public space and initiate spontaneous workshops with local communities. The object will act as an invitation for gathering and collective reflection.
