Jango Music is a documentary currently in development that explores how Sudanese migrants in Europe use rap music to narrate their journeys, cope with trauma, and make sense of life in a new home. As anti-migrant sentiment continues to rise across Europe, the film examines how hip hop becomes both a shield and a voice offering emotional resilience, dignity, and community in an increasingly hostile environment. By centering the self-made musical storytellers behind these songs, the project highlights the creativity and strength that sustain Sudanese migrants as they navigate displacement and rebuild their lives.
