Entitled BENJAMIN’S NOTES and subtitled von Einbahnstraße zur Freiheitsallee, the artists’ project at ZK/U will attempt to explore and poetically expand Walter Benjamin’s Berlin references in a literary and philosophical tone. Guided also by avant-garde influences, such as DADA and Situationist definitions and practices, Leitão will overlay interior and exterior contextual elements in visual, sonic and performative essays, taking us into a mysterious plot, in between the banal, the seductive, and the uncanny. BENJAMIN’S NOTES will, ultimately, materialize in a mixed-media installation, including artist publications.
