(c) Dahhyun Im, 2017

Dahhyun Im ( South Korea )

In the saturated virtual environment, she temporarily realized the way of escape that she had investigated through her previous works is not forthcoming. In looping structure without the entry or the exit of the contemporary urban conditions like a labyrinth, she challenges to reorient a project to thrive with the opaqueness, rather than revealing the differences between two boundaries. During her residency, she aims
to experiment with industrial materials to reach the physical mixture of contrast and various sculptural forms. Also, she discovers and examines open areas not in function in that the spaces are potentially an open-ended concept for her to find a question to cross the threshold with no door and key for the further installation.
