Danielle Freakley

Danielle Freakley (Australia)

Danielle Freakley is an Australian born artist, half Seychelles Islander blooded and drops of other blood curdling. She works in performance, sculpture, reasonably shit dancing, sound, text or whatever other materials work to digest the ideas at the time.

Her performances change daily social communication and relationships, exposing historical and lurking private projections and subtexts. This usually happens in collaboration with audiences who accidentally perform with her.

Over the last year, she has exhibited at the Tate, Liverpool Biennial, been a first selection finalist for the Arsenale of Venice - Arte Laguna Prize and then also has exhibited internationally in various other Biennials, Triennials, National Galleries, State Galleries, Contemporary Art Spaces, Kitchen Floors, Snake Temples, Ski Slopes, Aquariums, Theme Parks, Bins, Beaches, Train Station Toilets and Graves.

ZK/U Project

During Freakley’s ZKU stay she will be researching and developing bonding through internalised systems from the public.
