Project at ZK/U - Penny Harpham

During her time at the ZK/U, Penny is teaming up with Australian producer and performance maker, Dave Sleswick, to begin the initial research and creative development stages of a new performance work called Music, Baby! - a project aimed at investigating the effect of music on the brain, body and society. The project will, through a variety or research tactics and choreographic explorations, propose to an audience a deeper sense of listening and understanding to the processes that go on inside our body - as we come up against one of the most intrinsic part of our interactions with the world - music and sound. Perhaps half live-music gig, perhaps half theatre show, perhaps half science experiment, perhaps an acid trip in the brain. We’ll figure it all out as we go.
