Interference - Nathan Gray

Nathan Gray ( Australia )

A signal is desired or intended information in a system or organism as opposed to noise which is random information in the environment, detection device or even the biology of the observer.

The idea that the noise of the observer’s body might contain a signal, a message to the body’s owner, or to the larger world is the starting point for a science fiction story. This forms the narration for a film that documents various attempts at transmitting signals from the periphery of the ZK/U site into the main building, using visual systems such as semaphore, mirror flashes and smoke flares
