In the course of the Moabit Festival “Ortstermin”, nomadicArt and SALONwelcome will curate the Speisekino in ZK/U.
In accordance with the main theme of this year's Ortstermin, we will focus on the theme of migration and identity, taken from a filmic perspective.
We selected artists working on this specific theme from very different angles. The selection will lead us from abstract open questions on today’s immigration politics to questions of food and theatre productions in Kabul.
The whole program will be divided in three parts;
The programm starts in the afternoon, with a workshop for children: the “Mobile Sprachlabor”, a project by Julia Kapelle and Nadin Reschke, where kids will have the opportunity to create their own animation. Julia Kapelle will come with a toolkit of figures and cameras, to cut and animate their films.
Then, nomadicART will show the selection of their open call; a short film by an Afghan-German film production company, two short films by a Tunisian art collective "Bios" and one by a french artist.
After that, nomadicART will present a selection of short films, as well as a feature length film (45min) enquiring the theater scene in Kabul.
A Turkmen menu will be served, with a meat and a vegetarian option.
